You'll need
- 1 cup chickpeas, soaked overnight and boiled
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp chana masala powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp oil
- Salt, to taste
- Coriander, to finish
Method
- Warm the oil and cook the onion until soft, not browned deeply.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook a minute, then the tomato puree and spices.
- Simmer until the oil separates slightly, about 10 minutes.
- Add the boiled chickpeas and a little water, and simmer 10 more minutes before finishing with coriander.
