When you create an account:
- Email address
- Name (optional, used for personalisation)
- Password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your actual password)
This is the core of what TEJUVA does. We collect:
- Dosha profile — your Prakriti (constitution) and Vikriti (current imbalance), determined through our assessment quiz
- Health conditions — conditions you self-report (e.g. diabetes, thyroid issues, PCOS, hypertension) used to filter herb and diet recommendations for safety
- Daily wellness logs — your self-reported scores across five pillars: Sleep (Nidra), Diet (Ahara), Digestion (Agni), Movement (Vyayama), and Mental state (Manas)
- Health Score history — your daily 0–100 scores computed from the above logs
- Biological age estimates — computed from your log patterns, not from medical testing
- Challenge participation — which wellness challenges you joined, your check-in history, completion status
We collect this data only with your explicit consent, which you provide at the start of the quiz and at account creation. You may withdraw consent and delete all your data at any time (see Section 7).
- If you choose to join or discover society/neighbourhood groups, we use your approximate location (city or area level) to show you nearby groups. This is optional and you can skip group discovery entirely.
- Pages visited within the app, features used, session duration
- Device type, operating system, browser type
- Crash reports and error logs (no personal health data included)
- Real name (you may use a nickname)
- Phone number
- Government ID
- Payment information (collected directly by Razorpay — we never see your card details)

TEJUVA includes an AI wellness guide referred to as the Vaidya. When you interact with the Vaidya:
- Your dosha profile, recent daily logs, and the current season are sent to our AI processing service (running on Cloudflare's infrastructure) to generate a personalised response
- Conversations are not permanently stored and are not used to train AI models
- The Vaidya provides Ayurvedic wellness guidance only — it does not diagnose conditions, prescribe medicines, or replace professional medical advice
Mandatory disclaimer: *"This is Ayurvedic wellness guidance, not medical advice. Consult your doctor before making health changes."* This disclaimer appears in four locations within the app.
TEJUVA uses a virtual points system called Tej Points:
- Tej Points are earned through daily wellness activity and spent on in-app perks (Streak Shields, subscription credits, partner vouchers)
- Tej Points cannot be redeemed for cash, UPI transfers, or any monetary value
- Challenge staking uses Tej Points as a commitment device. Non-completers' Tej Points go to a Community Wellness Fund (a platform pool) — never to another individual user
- This structure classifies TEJUVA as an Online Social Game under India's Online Gaming Act, 2025 — it is not gambling
We use the following third-party services to operate TEJUVA:

Cross-border transfer notice: Your personal data, including health data, is stored on servers operated by Supabase in the United States. By using TEJUVA, you consent to this transfer. Supabase complies with international data protection standards. We maintain a Data Processing Agreement with Supabase to ensure your data is handled responsibly.
We do not share your data with any other third party except as required by law.
As a data principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:
Right to access: You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to correction: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. To do so: go to Settings → Delete My Account in the app. This permanently deletes all your data from our systems within 72 hours, including your dosha profile, all daily logs, health scores, challenge history, and Tej Points balance. This action is irreversible.
Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw consent for data collection at any time by deleting your account. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Right to grievance redressal: If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, contact us at ankit.agrawal79@gmail.com. We will respond within 7 business days.

When you delete your account, all data except legally mandated payment records is deleted within 72 hours.
We take security seriously:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Your password is stored as a bcrypt hash — we cannot see it
- All database tables have Row-Level Security (RLS) enforced — your data can only be accessed by your authenticated session
- We conducted a full RLS audit of all database tables before launch
- Access to the production database is restricted to authorised personnel only

TEJUVA is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at ankit.agrawal79@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.
TEJUVA (web app) uses:
- Session cookies — to keep you logged in across pages. These are essential and cannot be disabled.
- No advertising cookies — we do not run ads and do not use any ad tracking technology
- No cross-site tracking — we do not track you across other websites
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you via:
- A notice within the app on your next login
- An email to your registered address (for significant changes)
The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of TEJUVA after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
